Qasim Umer is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information and Computer Science at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) and a fellow at the Interdisciplinary Research Center for Intelligent Secure Systems (IRC-ISS). He received his MS in Computer Science from University of Hull, UK, in 2009 and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Beijing Institute of Technology, China, in 2020. He has published several articles in leading journals and international conferences. His research focuses on Natural Language Processing, Text Classification, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning, particularly in developing intelligent and secure systems.
